I know, I know, y'all already have a lot on your hands with "Go West" coming up, but I still think it'd be an interesting idea, having Hawaiian content- either as a part of GW or as its own separate update, similar to Florida.
Unlike the other splinter states not getting content in GW (The Police in New York and the Communists in Jersey), Hawaii actually has the ability to serve as a fairly dynamic nation in the midst of the Civil War, with multiple directions it could possibly take.
Here's my thought.
Hawaii starts out declaring independence from the United States, but then the issue of Japan comes up. Japan at first extends an invitation to join their sphere, and depending on Hawaii's response one of three things can happen:
1. Hawaii Accepts (Hawaii in the Sphere)
Hawaii remains a republic, with the only change being they are now a part of Japan's faction. This would be one of the more boring paths, for sure, but also one of the safest and easiest as a new player.
2. Hawaii Refuses (War with Japan)
Hawaii refuses to bow to the rising sun, leading to Japan setting up a false-flag operation allowing them to declare war on Hawaii (like Hitler did to Poland back during WWII).
The two will fight for a year, and by the end of the year if Honolulu remains uncaptured by the Japanese Hawaii will win and the two will declare white peace. The Hawaii path will continue on as normally (see option number 3).
However, should Japan win, Hawaii will become a Japanese puppet under an autocratic military government, forced to serve under the Nipponese heel for the rest of their days.
3. Hawaii Refuses (Japan Backs Off)
Hawaii refuses to bow to the rising sun, but Japan decides it's not worth their time, leaving the nation to its own affairs. From here, the Hawaiian path will continue on as normal.
The Choices at Hand
Should Hawaii either win the war with Japan or should Japan choose to back off, Hawaii will be faced with an event chain which will decide the fate of the nation.
The first of the events will be a referendum deciding whether or not the monarchy should be restored.
1. The Republic Endures
The Republic of Hawaii will survive, and elections will be held shortly, with the player getting to choose between either a conservative, liberal, or social democratic candidate.
Once again, the boring path.
2. Restoration of the Kingdom
The Kingdom of Hawaii is resurrected from the dead, placing Hawaii under autocratic control. Whether or not this serves as a good decision, only time will tell...
The next event discusses security for the king, should the kingdom be established. If security is provided by local Hawaiian forces, the Kingdom will stay intact and the king shall remain unharmed. Should security be provided by foreign operators, however...
3. The Polynesian Revolution
The foreign Seychelles mercenaries will fail at protecting the king, leading to socialists taking over the kingdom and executing the royal family. The "United Communes of Polynesia" will be established under a neo-socialist government and will attempt to free the whole of the pacific from capitalist tyranny.
Once the revolution is complete, another event will pop up discussing whether or not to crack down on the reactionaries of the island or to give them lenience. A crackdown will ensure the survival of the communes, but leniency...?
4. March on Honolulu
The Proud Boys militia, having had trouble deciding which faction to support in the Civil War and instead chose to flee to Hawaii, takes down the socialist government with the support of various anti-socialist militias and civilians. The communal government is deposed and a dissident rightist government is set up. Should Alaska win their fight against the Soviet invaders, the two can form a pan-Pacific faction, determined to wipe the stain of socialism away from the pacific (and perhaps the rest of America...)
Anyways, that's just a basic outline. Whether or not it's actually feasible, I don't quite know.
I would love it if y'all would at least take it into account though!

...No. No, I was not aware. I played the Roman Florida path, but I don't remember the Proud Boys ever being mentioned.
Oh well, too late to edit it now.
