Twilight of the Anthropocene

I don't watch the news. I never have. It's not my thing. But seriously. I think I've missed something. All my neighbors have moved away, and several of their homes have been on fire. I mean, I tried to put them out myself, but that didn't go very well. Luckily, I wasn't alone for long. My new neighbors seem nice enough. They might be Buddhist, or something? I don't know, because they're all white, so I'm kind of confused. They also keep trying to get me to watch this movie. Oh, what was it called? Oh yeah, Europa: The Last Battle. Whatever the hell that is. I think they're fond of Charlie Chaplin, too, for whatever reason that might be.

Guys, I might have missed something (and I still refuse to watch the news). Can somebody explain why all my neighbors are weird?
