everyone should watch Ergo Proxy. extremely underrated philosophical sci-fi anime

one of the English VAs for one of the main characters is the same guy as the "HEY! My brother died at Hoover Dam. You're desecrating a war memorial!" dude from Fallout New Vegas

I've seen Ergo Proxy! I really loved the first three quarters, but didn't think it quite stuck the landing, could have used an extra episode or two. Maybe I should rewatch it, it has been a few years.

I'm still sad about Manglobe going bust, they were a really interesting studio.

it's been a while since i watched it so i can't really remember if i thought it worked well or not. i do remember liking it going a bit more *weird* with it though, like the last two eps of the original NGE tv series

another series i'd super duper recommend is Mushishi. the english dub on that is also really solid too. it's a very reflective, almost meditative anime about a wandering "doctor" of the supernatural in feudal-era japan

If you like Mushi-shi I'd also recommend Mononoke (not to be confused with the Ghibli film Princess Mononoke). Very similar shows.

Everyone should watch Nurse Witch Komugi, a very aryan and funny Parody of magical girl anime
its kinda like if Tomo from Azumanga was a magical girl and they swear and its free on YT

Anyone been playing Hundred Line? I'm close to getting all the endings but it's been a really fun game so far (even if some of the routes feel a bit meh on reflection)

i think it's rather obvious what my favorite anime is

i'm also a big fan of berk. got the brand of sacrifice tattooed on my wrist. considering getting lain's hairclip tattooed on one of my fingers.

i'm about to finish frieren and then start wonder egg priority. anybody got recommendations to watch after that?
