okay, so i'm gonna take a stab at answering some of these that haven't been got to yet. if i've missed out any numbers, it's because i don't have the answers to them personally. sorry for the incoming wall of text lol
21. I remember you guys said in the comments of that TotA TLDR video that Macron didn’t suppress other parties but makes deal with them, does he tend to lean towards the far left or Far right parties?
our current Macron set up has him as not really leaning towards either in particular as far as i'm aware, but due to the problems we had re: the dev server contents getting deleted twice, we've been reevaluating a lot of the older, more ossified tota lore and realised that France and Macron in particular will likely require a significant alteration since it's extremely 2021 vibes-wise
23. Does the French presidency have term limits or is it until their coalition collapses?
again, our lore for France is currently very ossified and not up to par with what we want for TotA so the current setup, of a longer-lasting DeGaullist system might not hold over in the same way
24. Will Macron be ousted if he loses the war in Italy and Africa?
Not sure on a guaranteed ousting of Macron in that event, but yes, his premiership would certainly face significant backlash and opposition
25. What African countries will fight against France with Libya?
TBD right now - it also depends on which ones are what paths will be available since some african nations might eventually have Gaddafi-friendly paths
27. Are Arab countries considered “White” by the TotA US gov? 1c. Which country are most “recent” Immigrants to US from?
No, they wouldn't be. relations between the EU and arab nations are a bit better on account of stronger ties to countries like Morocco and Tunisia and their closer ties to the EU, but the US would still consider them non-white. i don't have an answer to the sub-question
28. When the 2ACW kicks off, how big is the ensuing refugee crisis (in millions)?
there would be a big crisis, yes - which we plan on factoring in both for Go West but also for eventual Canada and Mexico content - but the US is also a massive, grossly-underpopulated landmass for the most part and Americans themselves aren't enormously well off on average, so it won't be a crisis in the same way as IRL refugee crises in the West
29. I saw a lot of the ACW unifier superevents they mention Tijuana, so do most people move to Mexico instead of Canada?
It would depend on proximity. a lot of people in New England, the Midwest, the Pacific Northwest who *could* flee the border, likely would go to Canada, while those in Texas, NM, Arizona, California, etc, would likely go for Mexico. there would also be some refugees fleeing to the Caribbean too, though not as many since that would require boats and the like
30. During the ACW, there are volunteers that are sent by aligned governments, but how many clandestine or non-authorized volunteers join in on the war?
TBD - this is still something we're wanting to factor into Go West, especially tying it into the better overhauls we want to bring to what technologies and research look like, and how armies will be different too
30. After the ACW, will most refugees return no matter what or will it depend on the unifier?
there's far too many variables for a solid answer on this. it will depend on unifiers, on the paths taken by the countries taking in refugees, etc
31. Do Betty Crockers, Hamburger Helper and other such kit like foods exist in TotA? And do Rice Krispie treats exist too?
i don't know why they wouldn't. nothing about the PoD would affect these monumentally to my knowledge
32. Are Race riots, Lynching, Fire-Bombing, and protests more common in the US, outside of the NW, than in OTL before the Civil War?
They're likely not drastically more common, but i think incidents due to negative race relations might be somewhat more frequent
33. I know that astrophysics and medical science is more advanced than OTL; but are Paleontology, Archaeology and Geology also among these more advanced due to better tech?
i'm not aware of specific technologies to these fields that would be affected, but there would certainly be significant strides to research better equipment for mining, drilling, and scanning the ground due to the presence of humans on Earth, Luna, Mars, asteroid-based mining facilities, and eventually Europa as well - the minerals on these other celestial bodies would be of great interest and better tools for finding better hauls will absolutely be a critical concern
34. Is the EU a purely economic union or is just as ideological as in OTL?
due to the more intwined nature of Britain's Commonwealth of Nations, there is a more direct ideological edge for bringing in liberal democracies, but it is still primarily and economic and socio-cultural union.
35. What is the state of the Fine Arts Market?
This question is frankly just too broad, and there's too many variables for us to really weigh in on what it would look like. Art would still serve a propaganda angle like IRL during the Cold War, but with the languishing nature of the US ITTL, that aspect will be decreasing
36. So in OTL just outside of Basel there is a point on the right where in theory Germany, Switzerland and France meet and there is a monument called the “Dreiländereck” and I noticed on the map that there is a point where the 3 German states meet, also in a river, Is there a marker to the point where the 3 germanies meet or is it too sore of a subject?
We don't have anything specific like that as canon, but I think something like that might be made, at least by locals as a small tourism offering perhaps
38. Will any of the other Go West flags get revamped, besides Cali and Portland?
Yes - with the deletion of parts of the dev server, we've had to reevaluate a lot of the previous plans for the American Civil War to decide if they're really worth having, if they're actually interesting, etc, and part of that re-evaluation process has been a reconsideration of the flag GFX. not all flags are affected, and there's none i can point to specifically right now that we've changed for certain, but we are making a lot of little tweaks
39. I know that it is the successor state to one of the nazi warlords after hitler died, so who is the « founder » of Austro-Bavaria, Prussia, and Westphalia?
There's no real "founders" to each of the republics. The states are born out of ad hoc confederative autonomies that are administered by the Allied powers. These autonomies then became formalised through numerous local referenda and elections to see which state they wanted to belong to, what economic system they wanted, etc etc
40. When are the Germanies getting content/focus-trees?
we don't have a specific timeline for Germany content as yet, but we want to focus on the Major nations for the next couple of updates at least, and those are likely to feature Germany in some way
41. Will there ever be paths for the raj of sarawak is it just a fun filler country?
TBD - there's a lot of parts of Asia that we're not 100% on, and the status of these countries isn't guaranteed
44. What are the Possible Parliament paths for France?
we don't have any specific plans for France right now while we're focussing on Go West, and as said in the first few answers, our France set up will be getting a re-evaluation as well to remove its poorly aged "vibe"
46. Will there be more countries that have paths akin to Macafee, Mercs coup-ing a random 3rd world country?
We don't have specific plans for any, but if we feel like they might be relevant or fun, then it's certainly a possibility given our Seychelles set up
48. Is there going to be an updated road-map?
Not really - we find the roadmaps a bit too constraining and that they can be a bit of an obstacle, so our plans for the future are to just work on each update as they come based on what we feel needs work and that we want to work on
49. Why is Zaire Technocratic?
mainly for it to be a bit unique, but also because the quick history we cooked up for it (it was too impacted by the existence of a 1960s EAF to just leave as the DRC and RoC) resulted in a leader that has a very technocratic view of organising society. this might change if we decide to make more stuff for the Congo
50. Is that Poland Teaser still accurate?
Unlikely. with the loss of the old chats on the dev server, i'm not sure we even have a record of what our plans for Poland were. anything we do for Poland in future will likely be wholly new, but might include some of the old stuff if we find it.
